Oh my gosh, the 30th Port Townsend Uptown Street Fair was last weekend. This is one of the many fun events happening each summer in Port Townsend. The event includes a two-block parade. This is matched in distance to the Port Townsend Farmers Market opening ceremony in April which offers a goat parade.
This yearly event celebrates the Port Townsend Uptown Historic District. I’m not sure how many people attended this year, but before Covid, as many as 2000 showed up for this all-day event which included the local Farmers’ Market. The local band, the Unexpected Brass Band put on quite a show as they always do. The Port Townsend Arts & Craft Fair was also happening along with all sorts of fun art activities for the kids. The weather was perfect and it was a lovely day to be out and about in Port Townsend.
