What to know when scheduling a headshot session
-
Allow 30 minutes for a traditional headshot. Adding an additional ¾ photo will take additional time, probably an hour in total.
-
Best to avoid white shirts, stripes, plaids, and short sleeves.
-
Bring a comb or brush. Makeup for touchups if needed.
-
Medium or darker-value tops work best for business headshots.
-
If bringing a change of clothing it is best to place them on a hanger.
-
Final images are usually picked out during the session and are later retouched so everyone looks their best.
-
Still being cautious about Covid, I’m editing photos in my office. I return to the studio for us to view your images on a computer and let you pick your favorite. Sometimes a second opinion may be needed so I’ll give you information on how to view your photos in your password-protected Client Gallery on my website. Once your favorite image is picked just email me the number of the thumbnail in your gallery. Normally I should be able to get the final edited photo to you in a couple of days.
-
For every image/file purchased, I will provide you with two jpegs. One will be an sRGB jpeg for use on the internet and another jpeg file called CMYK. Often commercial printing services require this type of color profile when producing a business card or is required when submitting your photo for a newspaper article.
-
Final edited photo/photos will be emailed directly to you or your employer.
-
Consider purchasing a print of the headshot we capture, it would make a great gift to share with your family.
